Allergy certificate UK is recognized worldwide and utilized by over 100 firms in 135 countries. Here are three significant reasons why Allergy UK is respected and trusted by businesses and customers worldwide:
Allergy UK is a charity established to endorse products free of allergenic ingredients. The organization’s purpose is to support the public health of allergy sufferers by testing and evaluating products fairly to ensure their quality and safety.
All testing is carried out by leading scientists and allergists worldwide for Allergy Research Limited (ARL), a unit of Allergy UK. Testing must be done using state-of-the art equipment to ensure accurate measurement and evaluation of products. The testing process also needs to comply with IEC/EN/AHAM standards and eliminate allergen hazards.
Because each product has its own set of guidelines for identifying and assessing allergens, Allergy UK managers will work with businesses to clarify the application procedure and set up tests of their products in a lab. Product testing is performed by scientists and specialists in a laboratory atmosphere under careful control, assuring total safety. Allergy UK will offer a certificate of approval to products that have completed the inspection procedure.
The Allergy UK certification process includes six specific steps as follows:
You will contact the organization and request that they certify your product. After receiving their application procedure, Allergy UK will decide whether or not to grant certification.
Allergy UK will give you information about the certification and an application form through email. Then, you will fill out the form with the necessary information and return it to the certifying authority to create a client profile.
In this step, the payment will be divided into two installments as follows:
1st Payment: Allergy UK will conduct an initial product review once the application is complete. At this stage, the assessment fee will be around £1,000 (excluding VAT) and will not be refunded, but will be deducted from the registration fee.
2nd Payment: Once the initial assessment is completed and you agree to its terms, you will pay a remaining subscription fee of approximately £1,500 until expiration. You return the signed terms of the assessment agreement, pay the bill, and wait for the assessment results in 14-16 weeks.
Note: This charge may rise if there are several goods to be assessed within a given range.
The assessment results will be sent to you, including two copies of the License Agreement with the Allergy UK seal of approval. You will sign 1 document and return one copy to the organization for record keeping.
You will receive an Allergy UK certificate with an Allergy UK seal of approval for commercial usage. You will also offer product information and photographs to Allergy UK for verification on its website.
The Allergy UK certificate is renewable, so if you wish to keep it, you must pay a £1250 renewal charge. Two months before the certificate expires, you will receive a renewal notification that includes:
Your certification will be extended after Allergy UK has approved it.
The allergy UK product testing procedure takes at least 12 weeks, and certification is renewed annually. Furthermore, depending on the product and testing scopes, the period might be longer than 12 weeks. A case manager at Allergy UK will inform you of the results after evaluating your product. If your product is certified, you will receive an Allergy UK Seal of Approval agreement to use in your international business.
